Our Story
Our love story began at Josephine Falls on Australia's east coast, where a chance encounter turned into destiny. We serendipitously met at a hostel in Mission Beach over free wine, and from there, we kept finding our way back to each other (even dragging our travel partners along just for another glimpse).
After a year of long distance (thanks, Covid), we knew this was it. Four years later, Patrick proposed at a beach sunset in Marbella. He forgot to hit record and got an "Awww" instead of a "yes," but somehow, it was perfect.
On November 8th, 2025, our world got even brighter when Benjamin Algot Bardo arrived. Now, we're ready to celebrate our journey so far and the adventure ahead with all of you by our side.

We absolutely love your children and the joy they bring to our lives! They are such an important part of our lives, and we're honored that you share them with us.
For this special evening, we want to give the amazing parents behind the amazing kids a well-deserved night to relax, celebrate, and enjoy yourselves without worrying about bedtimes or little ones.
Children are warmly welcome at the ceremony, and we'd love to have them witness our vows. However, due to space limitations, the reception will be an adults-only celebration.
We completely understand that some of you may still be breastfeeding. If this applies to you, please reach out to us directly and we'll make arrangements to ensure you and your little one are comfortable.
We hope you understand and are able to enjoy a rare evening out. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

We want you to feel comfortable and look your best! Our wedding will be semi-formal attire.
June in Sweden
June weather in Sweden is generally pleasant with temperatures around 15-25°C (59-77°F). We recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap for the evening, as it can get cooler after sunset.
Travel & Transportation
Flying In
Most international guests will fly into Göteborg Landvetter Airport (GOT), which is Sweden's second-largest airport.
Tip: Pre-booking often guarantees a fixed price and can be cheaper than hailing at the airport.
Car Rental
If you're planning to explore beyond Gothenburg (such as the beautiful west coast archipelago, driving to Stockholm, or making your own way to Stenungsund), renting a car offers great flexibility.
Major Rental Companies: Available at Landvetter Airport (Hertz, Avis, Europcar, etc.)
Note: Public transport within and around Gothenburg is very convenient, so a car isn't necessary if you're staying in the city.

Staying Longer in Gothenburg?
If you're arriving early or staying after the wedding to explore the beautiful west coast of Sweden, we recommend staying in Gothenburg. Here are some excellent options:
Budget-friendly hotel in Mölndal, close to where we live. Great option with good value and easy access to Gothenburg city center.
Gothenburg is approximately 45 minutes from Stenungsund by car or bus.

If you're extending your trip to Sweden, there are wonderful experiences waiting for you! Here are some of our favorite recommendations:
Liseberg Amusement Park
Scandinavia's largest amusement park right in Gothenburg! Perfect for families and thrill-seekers alike, with beautiful gardens, exciting rides, and great food. Especially magical if you're visiting during their Christmas market season.
Explore the stunning Swedish west coast archipelago with its picturesque fishing villages, rocky islands, and fresh seafood. Take a boat tour, go kayaking, or simply enjoy the serene coastal beauty. Highlights include Marstrand, Smögen, and the Southern Gothenburg Archipelago.
If you have extra time, Stockholm is about 5 hours away by train or a short flight from Gothenburg. Sweden's capital is built on 14 islands and offers world-class museums (Vasa Museum, ABBA Museum), the historic Gamla Stan (Old Town), beautiful architecture, and vibrant neighborhoods. It's well worth the journey!

We'd love for you to be fully present during our ceremony! We'll have a professional photographer capturing every moment. We kindly ask that you put away your phones and cameras during the ceremony, but feel free to snap away at the reception!
What language will the ceremony be in?
The ceremony will be conducted in Swedish, but we plan to print out English translations.
What time should I arrive?
Please plan to arrive around 30 minutes before the ceremony start time on Saturday, June 6th. This gives you time to get settled and enjoy the venue before we begin.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be held outdoors, and the reception will be indoors.
